About time, isn’t it?? 4 months of hibernation back in Peoria – and I’m officially ready to be done sulking/moping/missing China!! And I’m ready to started blogging again – and I’m hoping that our non-expat (read ‘regular’) life will have just as many blog-worthy moments to share!!

The new house – I’m absolutely in love with – it is my pride and joy!! I can’t even imagine how hard it would have been to be in an apartment – even with temporary furniture, there is no better place than home!! And once our shipment arrived, for once, it was really fun to  set everything up – it has been more than 10 years since we’ve owned our own house, and we’re really enjoying every single moment!! So happy to call this our new home!!

Finally, for better or worse, Peoria has been our home base for the last 15 years – and even though we haven’t lived here for the better part of these years – moving back here is really quite comfortable. As exciting as it is to be an expat, the familiar has its own charm, doesn’t it?! So, looking forward to many years of happiness in this place we’re now calling home – I hope you’ll join me for the journey!! Signing off!!
